Danube River Sand
(2026)
This collection was born from a quiet walk along the banks of the Danube in Bratislava. A reminder that wilderness can exist just minutes from the rhythm of the city. A short passage on foot leads from urban movement into forest silence.
Along the river, currents sculpt temporary sandy beaches formed by the river. The sand, scattered with fragments of mica, catches the sunlight and shimmers like scattered diamonds. In the first warm rays of spring, the atmosphere transforms instantly.
Drawn by this fleeting beauty, I gathered a handful of river sand and carried it home in my pocket. What once moved freely with water became material for transformation. Each piece of jewelry in this collection contains traces of that moment. The meeting of nature, light, and human gesture.
These works preserve the ephemeral sunlight held in mineral form, movement translated into structure, and landscape reimagined as intimate objects worn close to the body. The jewelry becomes a continuation of the river itself, shaped by time, carried by experience, and forever reflecting light differently with every encounter.
